El Pinar Sand Surfing

Odeliza Jacoba sand surfing at El Pinar Uruguay

Oi!,

Tudo Bem? Sand surfing at El Pinar Uruguay was fun! Much easier than wave surfing. Instead of getting caught in a ‘washer machine’ one just eats sand.

Here’s a pic of me trying to catch speed on a sandy hill at El Pinar

Midori travels everywhere with me she loves to imitate anything I do. Its super cute.

Midori getting excited about sand surfing

I tried to get her to surf on my board, but she did not trust that she’d be safe. Over all I’d say it was a good day, there were a few times that I caught speed and a few times I ate sand.

Me setting up and Midori following suit

Finally catching speed!

Let’s see, I lost one earring, one button on my shirt, and both my hands are swollen, I stubbed my right big toe, broke off my pointer finger nail and now have a really bad infection, bruises on my left hip side, lastly a large purple-ish baseball sized bruise on my left butt cheek. Its okay! It was worth it.

Midori and I surfing down the sand slope

Its so much more awsome if you don’t clip your feet on the board. Which I did unintentionally, towards the end because my clips came loose.

Me sand surfing again and Midori barking at my descent

Next time, Midori and I are headed for windsurfing.
